Our Story

The year was 1996. Our founder, an insurance agent at the time, saw how unhappy his clients were with the audits they faced. They viewed them as stressful, nerve-wracking, time-consuming and needlessly complex. At the same time, the carrier he worked for was caught in a similar problem. Premium audits were a necessary evil – what other options were there?

 

He knew there had to be a better way, and so set out to change the way premium audits were done. He opened up his own auditing firm and the rest, as they say, is history. 

 

By being open to learning, changing, and improving as we go, we’ve been able to stay flexible and cutting-edge for almost 3 decades. Most importantly, we owe our success to listening to and valuing our client’s input and putting them first.

 

With a continued focus on the satisfaction and trust of both carriers and their clients, NRM has grown into a provider and platform that is taking the industry by storm.

Meet our executive team

Eli Rubin
President

Eli Rubin has been the President of National Risk Managers, LLC since 2006. His oversight includes managing insurance carriers needs through the development of integrated technology systems and directing highly trained staff. He involves himself in the day to day operations and future vision of the company.

In addition to his business experience, Eli has been involved in many insurance industry associations. He has served as the Vice President of the Insurance Auditors of NJ (IANJ) and as the Past President of the National Society of Insurance Auditors (NSIPA). He is an active member of his community as well as a volunteer EMT with the local EMS squad.

LUCY COHEN
OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Lucy Cohen is an Operations Supervisor for NRM. Lucy has a diversified background with over 17 years in the Architectural/Engineering field as well as 10 years in the insurance industry. In her current role, Lucy is responsible for advancing technology systems and reporting functions to enhance the growth of the company and overall business function.

In her spare time, Lucy enjoys spending time with her family and also enjoys renovating houses.

 

 

Sosha Elias
CEO

Sosha Elias is the Vice President and Audit Supervisor for NRM. She has been with the company for 10 years. Previously she worked in real estate and holds a Property and Casualty & Life, Health and Accident license. In her current role, she manages all staff members and workflow processes.

Sosha lives with her husband and six children in North Jersey. She enjoys cooking and developing recipes. She shares her passion for cooking by volunteering at a soup kitchen where she prepares meals for the elderly, widows and new mothers.

 

 

Aaron Englard
VP Field Services

Aaron Englard joined NRM after working in the real estate industry for over 15 years specializing in acquisitions and property management. Aaron is an accounting professional graduated from City University of New York-Brooklyn College. After joining NRM as a field auditor in 2015, Aaron was tasked with overseeing training and development of staff auditors, NRM’s test audit program and assisting to resolve disputes.

As an active member of NSIPA, Aaron works to instill ethical and moral standards for the staff of NRM. His goal is to create partnerships between NRM, the insured, and agents. Outside of Premium Audit, he enjoys volunteering in his community and spending time with his blended family of seven.

Esti Weinreb
Review Manager

Esti Weinreb has worked in NRM since 2015. She is the Review Manager of NRM and has been responsible for reviewing the audit’s accuracy. She ensures our staff is following all carrier and Bureau requirements. As the carrier liaison, Esti is responsible for quality assurance and staying up to date on industry regulations.

She resides in Brooklyn and enjoys traveling, baking and spending time with family and friends.

 

 

Courtney Gilham
Quality Review Manager

Courtney Gilham (formerly Blake) has worked in the Premium Audit since graduating from Pennsylvania State University in 2007, where her concentration was Finance and Accounting. She is the Quality Review Manager of NRM and develops educational seminars for staff auditors and reviewers as well as assists in technology integration.

As part of the Premium Audit industry, Courtney has served as the President of the Philadelphia Insurance Auditors Society since 2013 and was named Auditor of the Year in 2012. She currently lives in South Jersey with her husband, two daughters, mini husky, and enjoys running.

Jazmine Diaz
Scheduling Manager

Jazmine Diaz has worked in business development for going on 15 years. She is the Facilities Scheduling Manager at NRM and has contributed to the company’s growth since June, 2017.

Jazmine has worked hard to oversee the daily activities, training and development of the schedulers, as well as working with the auditors to optimize company production. She currently resides in South Jersey with her daughter and mother and enjoys music, reading, design, and spending time with her family.
