Audit Types
All audits include a quality control review to ensure accuracy.
PHYSICAL
Our most hands-on option, ideal for complex, larger, and important accounts. Our experienced, in-house field staff visit the insured, working hand-in-hand with them to gather all necessary documents and ensure timely completion. Our staff is patient and will walk your client through every step of the way.

REMOTE PHYSICAL
Just like a physical audit, our field auditor works hand-in-hand with your client to gather all necessary documentation and complete the audit process quickly. The only difference is this is done remotely, via phone calls, emails, and online forms.
HYBRID/PHONE
We ask the insured to prepare necessary documents ahead of a scheduled phone call, where one of our experienced field auditors walks them through a simple, comprehensive survey process step-by-step. If the auditor determines a physical visit is needed, they’ll let you know what the next steps will be.
HYBRID/ONLINE
Your client submits all necessary documentation online and a field auditor reviews and inputs all information on their behalf. We then follow-up with the insured through online chat to review and confirm all information. If the auditor determines a physical visit is needed, they’ll let you know what the next steps will be.

VOLUNTARY/MAIL
Voluntary audits are a straightforward process that works well with small businesses. Your client receives a simple form by mail which they complete on paper or online. This form requests all the information we need to make a premium determination. Our trained staff is always on standby to address any questions and will notify you if a more in-depth audit is needed.
VOLUNTARY/ONLINE
Our online voluntary audits are a fast, efficient solution for small businesses. Your client receives a simple form which they then complete online. This form requests all the information we need to make a premium determination. Our trained staff is always on standby to address any questions and will notify you if a more in-depth audit is needed.

Compatibility issues NEVER an issue

If your audits are selected for a Bureau review, our Test Audit Response unit is here for you. Test audit analysis is included at no charge in all our audit packages.
We review all deficiencies or discrepancies and contact the insured on your behalf to gain further support for the audit results. We also research prior cases and the determinations on similar types of risks. Finally, we develop a formal letter to dispute the test audit results. This is detailed and supported by ancillary documentation such as letters directly from the insured, photos, rule interpretations and financials.
Our 99% success rate speaks volumes.

Pre-Audits
In addition to cyclical expirations and cancellation audits, at times you or a client may want an interim audit. Our approach is thorough and detailed, and can then be used as the basis for initiating an underwriting process.

Loss Control
Our OSHA certified loss-control inspectors search for and implement hazard recognition controls, injury management, and general preventative maintenance measures. This includes an analysis detailing possible risks and exposures along with all necessary recommendations, as well as a detailed photo template sheet, effectively reducing exposures, minimizing losses.
Quality Review
We can review, third party providers' audits or your own internal audits.
Each audit is assigned to one of our expert review specialists to ensure our quality standards are met
Our process has proven results that lead to a high level of consistent quality work, low returns, and test audit incompatibilities.

Expert Witness
NRM is equipped to provide expert witnesses in collection and premium fraud cases. Our field auditors can testify in trials, depositions and Department of Insurance evidentiary hearings, generally relating to classification assignments, exposure measurement, and audit standards and practices.
